49ers, Cowboys, Patriots, Jets Hit Ground Running

The New York Jets rallied to beat Tampa Bay thanks to a boneheaded late hit by Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David. Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David sat hunched at his locker, tormented by the knuckleheaded late hit and personal foul that had just cost his team the game.

Elsewhere, The Packers lost out to the 49ers. Green Bay was obsessed with trying to slow down Kaepernick the runner, and forgot his true strength is what it sees every game from its own quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is still regarded as the league’s best QB, but it’s scary how Kaepernick easily outdueled him using the same formula—using most of the mobility to set up the big pass plays downfield.

Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants 36-31 and left New York coach Tom Coughlin even grumpier than usual Sunday night at AT&T Stadium, they had forced a total of six turnovers, returning two for touchdowns.

Yet the most surprising development in Sunday’s early games was the Buffalo Bills almost beating the New England Patriots, who kicked a field goal with 5 seconds to go to win 23-21.
